68: Bullock Brothers Homestead - A 25-Year Permaculture Project
Take a tour with Joe, Doug and Sam Bullock on their Orcas Island homestead, site of a yearly Permaculture design course. Using nature as their model, they create edges and wildlife habitat, move water through the landscape, promote diversity, and raise an astonishing variety of plants from sub-arctic to tropical — a wise investment in these climate-changing times. I’m so glad I watched your video. I was on Orcas over the summer & would of loved to have been able to see your permaculture farm. Interesting and I want to learn more. Society needs more of what you live by.
I stayed in Eastsound, such a welcoming town, reminded me of Makawao, Maui.
Enjoy your life, be well, happy and healthy.

Hi Jonell,
Glad you enjoyed the show with the Bullock brothers. They teach Permaculture courses on their property.
We too loved Orcas island - so beautiful in summer! We taped several other shows there - at Smith and Speed, and The Exchange, and about the Opal Community Land Trust. Good folks there.
We’re the videographer (Robyn) and show host (Janaia).
